In this workshop, you will explore statistics and probability content through engaging, collaborative, and hand-on activities and experiences. You will also delve into the art of effective teaching of statistics and probability by unpacking pedagogies that help students build essential concepts, procedural knowledge, and reasoning skills. Plan on leaving with several activities, virtual resources, and free software that can be used immediately in the classroom.

ICTM Teaching and Learning Grant ($750) to support professional learning or a project that supports access & equity for all students or is linked to the Iowa Math and Practice Standards or the 8 Effective Teaching Practices; applications accepted on a rolling basis.

Congratulations to the Recipients of ICTM's Travel Grants
The NCTM conference travel grant recipient is Brooke Fischels of the Ottumwa Community School District. Brooke will be reimbursed up to $800 for travel to the NCTM conference in Chicago this fall! The ICTM Conference Travel Grant recipient is Lauren Anders of the Ottumwa Community School District. Lauren will be reimbursed up to $400 for her ICTM conference costs when she attends the conference in Ankeny October 22!

Free Courses for Academically Talented Iowa Students The Belin Blank Center’s Iowa Online AP® Academy (IOAPA) provides qualifying Iowa students free access to advanced coursework. For high school students, these courses are a part of the College Board’s Advanced Placement® (AP) program. High school-level courses are also made available to eligible middle school students. AP exam scholarships are available, with preference given to students from rural schools.
