ICTM CONFERENCE GRANT

The Iowa Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) will award two grants of up to $400 each to support an ICTM member's attendance at the ICTM Annual Conference. This grant can be used to help pay registration and travel expenses (transportation, hotel, and food up to $25/diem). This grant is designed to help teachers increase student achievement in mathematics by enhancing instructional methods through new learning at the ICTM conference. Although I have been teaching mathematics for over 25 years, this is the first time I have attended an ICTM conference. I truly enjoyed my experience, meeting new people and learning many things along the way. I cannot wait to share what I learned at the ICTM conference with our staff at Central Lee.

ICTM TEACHING & LEARNING GRANT

Members of the Iowa Council of Teachers of Mathematics may request funding up to $750 for professional learning or a project that supports access & equity for all students or is linked to the Iowa Core Mathematical Content and Practice Standards or the 8 Effective Teaching Practices.

ICTM Teaching & Learning Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis and will be awarded quarterly up to $6,000 per calendar year.

NCTM CONFERENCE GRANT

The Iowa Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) will award one grant supporting an early-bird conference registration fee, and other expenses of up to $1200, to support an ICTM member to attend a National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Annual Meeting & Exposition (fall) or Spring Conference. This grant is designed to help teachers increase student achievement in mathematics by enhancing instructional methods through new learning at the conference. Additional details and requirements.

NCTM Conference Grant applications for attendance at the Annual Meeting & Exposition (fall) are due June 30.

NCTM Conference Grant applications for attendance at the Spring Conference are due December 1.

I appreciate the efforts of ICTM for getting math teachers to conferences to be life-long learners to hone a craft that is never going to be perfect, but can be perfected every year and every lesson along the way.
